Due to the continued demand for a recently introduced generic product a Serbian based pharmaceutical manufacturer required additional tablet coating capacity.

Epsilon-Equipment quickly sourced a used Driam production coater and assessed the machine following an inspection which was found to be suitable.

Supplying the coater with additional upgrades including new air handler and new outlet fan and minimal control system changes enables the project to be executed on time and within a tight budget.

Interestingly the installation provided some spatial challenges resulting in very long duct routes, the pressure drops were calculated prior to the execution of the job. The outcome from the design meant a larger fan and increased heater battery were required to enable the process to work.

The success of the project was quickly followed by the supply of a modernised fluid bed system.
